Tips for Porto in 3 days

Porto is all hills beside the Douro: go down to the Ribeira, cross the Dom Luis I bridge along the top deck for the views, and come back along the bottom. On the other side, in Vila Nova de Gaia, are the port wine cellars: book a tasting, it's the star experience. Don't miss the Lello bookshop or Sao Bento station and its tiles, which is free. Be brave and try a francesinha, hearty but delicious. And a six-bridges cruise at sunset is the perfect finishing touch.
