Tips for Vienna in 4 days
Vienna is elegant and very walkable, but its two palaces eat up time: Schonbrunn and the Hofburg each ask for a booking and half a day, so don't put them on the same day. Spread it out: one imperial day of palaces and the Ring, another of museums and cafes. And don't leave without sitting down in a historic cafe for a Sachertorte, it's part of the experience. If you love music, look into the concerts at the Musikverein or a standing ticket at the opera for a few euros. Many churches and the Ring itself are free and already worth the stroll.
